Now, <a href="http://blog.sfgate.com/cityinsider/2012/03/08/woman-who-pulled-driver-from-burning-truck-gets-national-kudos/"target=_blank">she is one of 20 finalists for The Citizen Before Self Award </a>, which is the highest honor a non - military, everyday citizen can receive from the White House.

Los Chiles Verdes is led by our good friends Jose Leon and Tony Price, with assist by our former Employment Training instructor, Gil DeAnda.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">And of course, feeding us very well is <a href="http://www.abovecatering.com/" target="_blank">Above &amp; Beyond Catering</a></p>

Maritza is currently the Principal and Sole Proprietor of Dise&ntilde;o - an architectural firm established in 1989 - and has provided architectural services to public and private clients since 1976. Her services have ranged from planning and feasibility studies to complete architectural services from schematic design through construction administration, interior design and furniture specifications. Project types include in-house architectural services for public agencies, low-rise commercial and mixed-use buildings, athletic facilities, health care facilities, transportation terminals and headquarters, educational renovation, day care and residential design. Some of her accomplishments include the modernization of 6 schools in the Alum Rock Union Elementary School District, design projects for the University of California, modernization of the William R. DeAvila Elementary School (San Francisco), design of the Los Medanos Child Care Center (West Pittsburg, CA), and design and construction of the John O&rsquo;Connell Technical High School (San Francisco).
