The recently completed facade alteration for Brenda’s French Soul Food, 652 Polk Street, San Francisco, CA. As increasing demand for this popular restaurant grew, the owner sought to expand by taking over the vacant space next-door. Our work involved redesigning key elements such as signage, fenestration, lighting, out-door waiting, and landscaping to accommodate the expansion. We designed every aspect of the new façade to highlight and embrace the owner’s unique personality and cuisine. For example, New Orleans French-style wrought-iron was used as decorative security gates, and an over-sized Skillet was anchored to the upper façade as additional signage. Consulting services included structural calculations for the signage, and graphic design for the menus. Along with our design and coordination, we also provided schematic alternatives and estimated construction costs, permit and construction documents as well as construction administration.
