The Excelsior Youth Center is a 22,000 square foot community center for the Excelsior District of San Francisco. The City of San Francisco and the San Francisco Unified School District collaborated in the realization of this facility which includes a gymnasium, activity rooms, multi-purpose room, recording studio, computer lab and study hall. Asian Neighborhood Design, with Kendall Young Associates as the consulting architect, designed a new facility that is contextual with the adjacent school’s brick, plaster and detailing. The new youth center has created opportunities for learning, growth and stability for the youth of the Excelsior neighborhood. |
